Environment & Sustainability
At OBEX we understand the importance of playing our part to protect the environment. We have implemented a number of measures to ensure that we are reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability.
We’ve recently implemented a plastic baling and recycling initiative. Plastic is a major contributor to environmental pollution and that’s why we’ve made it a priority to recycle as much plastic as possible. We’re constantly looking for ways to reduce plastic waste, and ensure that it’s recycled in an environmentally-friendly manner.
We also bale and recycle all of our waste cardboard, which significantly reduces the amount of waste going to landfill, thereby promoting sustainability.
Our commitment to recycling extends to the empty 200 litre metal drums. We’ve invested in a compactor that crushes the drums which are then sent for recycling. The offcuts from the tape and film rewinding process, as well as cardboard cores from bespoke manufacturing, are also all recycled.
There are many other products for which we have implemented a recycling programme, including our waste wood, used batteries and aerosol cans.
OBEX is committed to protecting the planet and will continue to implement measures to reduce its environmental impact.
